Both the Memorial Hall (on the left) and the cross are war memorials here.
The cross was unveiled on 13th May 1920 with the names of Moorside's Fallen inscribed on it; the Memorial Hall's foundation stone was laid on 17th October 1934 and it was opened in 1935 as a tribute to the people of Moorside parish who were killed in World War 1.
