John Butterworth. Killed in action in the Dardanelles on 13th August 1915, age 39.
Private Thomas Lee, 7th Border Regiment. Killed in action at Loos, Belgium, on 27th September 1915, age 19.
Private Peter McFarlane, 1st Battalion Gordon Highlanders. Killed in action in Belgium, 27th September 1917, age 25.
Gunner Joe Snowden. Killed in action in France 24th April 1918, age 36.
2nd Lieutenant Jack Stell, Royal Scots and Royal Air Force. Killed on 19th June 1918, age 21.
Richard Helm. Died in France 4th November 1918, age 19.
Frederick Arthur Walker, A.M.I. Royal Air Force. Died in France on 19th December 1918, age 25.
Harry Furniss, C.E.R.A. RN. Killed in action on H.M.S. Panther on 9th October 1943, age 41.Color Sergeant Henry Parkinson. Died January/February/May 1868, age 78. He served under the Duke of Wellington in the Peninsular Campaign at Albuhera (16.5.1811), Badajos(April 1812), Salamanga (22.7.1812), ...ramses, Vallasip... , ...an, Nive(December 1813). Did anyone transcribe the full inscription before it became damaged?
He was stationed in Malta in 1831 where he married Johanna Downey of Ireland on 5th February; at the time he was serving in the 7th Regiment.website.lineone.net/~stephaniebidmead/p6.htm
