Gunner J.Spencer, Royal Garrison Artillery, was badly wounded in action by shrapnel in his left arm on 10th May 1917. He was sent to Norfolk Hospital and survived the war. He worked in Carnforth prior to joining the army so was presumably resident there.
Eugenie Denby was the daughter of Maurice and Rose Russell Denby, of Sunderland Point. Her grave is at St Helen's Church, Overton and her name is recorded on the Overton war memorial.82851 Wren Eugenie Nettleton Darby, Women's Royal Naval Service. Died 2nd May 1945, aged 21.
