PEACE. Reception of the News. MANIFESTATIONS OF JOY. The news that peace had been concluded did not reach Dolgelley until Monday morning. The glad event was quickly announced, mainly through the medium of the Fire Brigade bell. Immediately nearly all the houses were dressed with bunting. During the day the fife and drum band, under Mr. Parry Jones, paraded the streets playing patriotic airs, and the Parish Church bells rang out merry peals.
