We are very glad to see amongst us once more Lieut. T. S. Bowen, only son of Mr. Geo. E. Bowen, J.P., and Mrs. Bowen, Rumsey House. Lieut. Bowden, who was wounded recently while reconnoitring the enemy's position in the vicinity of Ypres, arrived at Kidwelly very quietly on Thursday last, by motor car, with his father and mother who have been spending the winter at Porthcawl. Had information been received of his intended return home, Lieut. Bowen would have been given a fitting reception, but as it was, he was very cordially welcomed by those who noticed his presence in the car.
The injuries sustained by Mr. Bowen consist of a bullet wound in the forehead, the bullet from a shrapnel shell piercing the khaki cap and entering his head, and also some bruises on the leg. He was carried unconscious from the field by a fellow officer, and his injuries having been dressed in a dug-out, he was removed to the base hospital, and thence transferred to England.
Lieut. Bowen is making satisfactory progress towards recovery, but some time must elapse before he is able to resume his duties.
