3644 Private John Edgar Thomas Gornall, 3/7th Duke of Wellington's (West Riding Regiment). Died in France on 29th July 1916, aged 27. CWGC database gives his battalion as 1/7th. His name is on his parents', John and Ellen Gornall, of Gisburn, headstone in St James' churchyard, Dalehead, formerly in Stocks-in-Bowland.
