The original school building dated from 1836, re-built in 1908; the present one, on a different site and re-named Oakville Trafalgar High School, opened in 1992.

There was a WW1 Memorial Hall at the old site, the new school has an internal cenotaph. Under the floor of the room under the memorials, currently the Radio Room, is a cenotaph - an empty tomb.
