The roll of honour below is in Wythburn Church; was there a similar one in Castlerigg? A 1940s Ordnance Survey map doesn't show a place of worship in Castlerigg so where would a roll of honour have been placed, if at all?1742990 Gunner Alfred Tangye, Royal Artillery. CWGC database gives the date as 19th May 1942.7623468 Private Tom Wren, Royal Army Ordnance Corps. Died 7th January 1943, aged 23. Son of William and Florence Edith Wren, of Threlkeld.
