Lieutenant Stanley Campbell Cheverton, 1st Border Regiment. killed in action on 27th January 1917, aged 20. Son of the Rev. F.J. Cheverton and Inse Cheverton, of The Vicarage, Rowley Regis.
Lieut. Stanley Campbell Cheverton, Border Regt., son of Lieut.-Col. (the Rev.) F.J. Cheverton, Durham L.I., was killed in action on 27th January. He was educated at Carlisle Grammar School, and on the outbreak of war joined the Public Schools Battalion. He went through Sandhurst, and was gazetted to the Border Regt., with which he served in Gallipoli, Egypt, and France. (Westmorland Gazette, 10 February 1917)
