The original, metal, plaques were stolen in 2012 on the same night as metal was stolen from Barr Beacon memorial.
The Children's Corner was given in memory of Mr and Mrs Alfred Franks and their son Squadron Leader J.H.Franks D.F.C. who was killed in action in 1942. It includes the altar, prayer desk, table, stools and bookcases, all made by Robert Bridgeman & Sons.
