24750 Private William Fothergill, 11th Border Regiment. Died 5th September 1917 (headstone is inscribed 4th September 1917), aged 22. Son of William and Lydia Fothergill of High Stennerskeugh. His name is on the family headstone at St Oswald's Church, Ravenstonedale and he's buried at Cologne Southern Cemetery, Germany.
