Captain John Cuthbert Stairs, 25th Canadian Infantry. Killed in action at the Taking of Courcelette on 15th September 1916, aged 24. Sons of George and Helen Stairs.
Lieutenant William Edward Everett Doane, 25th Canadian Infantry. Killed in action at Regina Trench, near Courcelette, France, on 1st October 1916. Son of F.W.W. and Alice E. Doane, of 25, Young Avenue, Halifax.
Lieutenant Kennet Stairs, 60th Battery, 14th Brigade, Canadian Field Artillery. Killed in action near Cambrai on 30th September 1918, aged 29.
Lieutenant Philip Boyd Stairs D.S.O., 5th Canadian Trench Mortar Group, Canadian Field Artillery. Died of influenza at Valenciennes on 21st November 1918, aged 24. Sons of Edward and Isabella Stairs.
