West End Wesleyan Church Roll of Honour.
An Impressive Ceremony.
On Sunday afternoon a pleasing little ceremony took place at the West End Wesleyan Sunday School, when a Roll of Honour, suitably framed in oak, and containing the names of those connected with the above place, but are now serving their King and country, was presented to the Superintendents by Miss Brown, in the name of the scholars and teachers. After short addresses by the Superintendents and others the "Roll" was hung. "God Save the King" and other suitable hymns were sung. Up to the present 26 names are on the roll, headed by the following: -
Major Hogarth, 5th Batt. K.O. Lanc. Reserves.
Pte. A. V. Ashton, 5th Batt. K.O. Lanc. Reserves.

The gathering was one the likeof which even the oldest resident in Morecambe had not taken part, nor would the youngest child present witness another.
The service was simple and touching, and produced a good impression.

None of the above names seem to be on the Morecambe memoral.
