DISTINGUISHED VISITOR. - Lieut.-Col. Pratt, C.B., home from South Africa, paid a visit on Saturday to his brother-in-law, the Rev. A. E. Lofts. The gallant officer assisted at the capture of Cronje, and twice had his horse shot under him. A hearty welcome was given him upon his arrival at the rectory, the Union Jack being hoisted upon the church tower and the bells rung.
