At the Police Court on Monday, on the information of P.C. Evans, Pentraeth, Hugh Wm. Richards, licensee of the Glan'rafon Hotel, Benllech, was fined £10 for employing a soldier named Robert Thomas, knowing him to be a deserter. The defendant said Thomas had said he would go back when he was fetched, and rather than see the man idling about he gave him some work to do.
