The approximate order of the names is:- Royal Navy, followed by Army - Officers, N.C.O.s, Gunners, Royal Engineers, Privates.
The capital Cs and Gs are terrible. What, in close-up, looks like a C can turn out to be a G, and vice versa. Hi, Just to let you know that the 'G. Bagshaw' , Panel 3 definitely isn't Pte 33049 of the 5th D of W. He was my great-uncle, born in Shropshire and was living in the Burmantofts area of Leeds when he died.
