Captain Charles John Chard Barrett, Mentioned in Despatches, 1st Royal Scots Fusiliers. Killed in action at Hooges on 14th November 1914, aged 41. Son of William and Charlotte Barrett, of Moredon, North Curry. CWGC database gives his date of death as 13th November 1914.
Captain Hugh Ronald Selfe, 8th North Staffordshire Regiment. Died on Vimy Ridge on 9th July 1917, aged 37. Brother of Violet E. Selfe, of North Curry Vicarage.
