Captain Maurice Assheton Cross, 1st The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Killed at Foureaux Wood at the Somme on 18th August 1916, aged 26. Son of the late Admiral Charles Henry Cross and of Edith Cross, of Edgemoor, Middlemoor, Tavistock.
