4054 Private Joseph Stephenson, 3rd/4th The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died 26th March 1916, aged 18. Son of Joseph and Paulina Stephenson, of Whittingham Lane, Goosnargh.

7258 Corporal Richard Rhodes, 2nd/5th Royal Warwickshire Regiment. Killed in France on 12th September 1916, aged 37. Son of Richard and Susanna Rhodes.

4469 Private Philip Tristan Smith, 10th The King's (Liverpool Regiment). Died at Aldershot on 13th November 1916, aged 25. Son of William and Isabel Smith, of Preston; husband of Madeleine Tristan Smith, of 1, Clevedon Mansions, East Twickenham, Middlesex. His father was Governor of Goosnargh/Whittingham Hospital, 1909-1928. CWGC database gives his age as 26 and the month of his death as October.

32861 Private Harold Archibald Davis, 26th Royal Fusiliers. Killed in action in France on 21st January 1917, aged 22. Son of Mary Jane Davis, of 2, Ivy Villa, West View, Whittingham, Preston, and the late Harry Herbert Davis.

13234 Private Henry James Prescott, Labour Corps. 60th Training Reserve Battalion transferred to (265291) 535th Home Service Company. Died at Oswestry on 10th May 1918, aged 19. Son of Joseph and Alice Prescott, of 3, Jubilee Terrace, Goosnargh.

279603 Gunner Frederick Charles Bradley, Royal Field Artillery. Died at Whitchurch Camp, Shropshire, on 21st August 1918, aged 21. Son of Robert and Louisa Bradley, of Manor House, Dutton, Longridge.

230234 Gunner James Robinson, Royal Field Artillery. Died a prisoner of war on 20th October 1918, aged 20. Son of Richard and Alice Robinson, of Camforth Hall, Goosnargh.

87974 Private W. Parker, 5th Middlesex Regiment. Died 24th December 1918.

50785 Lance Corporal Charles Milton, 17th The King's (Liverpool Regiment). Killed in action in Russia on 9th February 1919, aged 20. Son of Charles Lewis Milton and Mary Milton, of 13, Comeragh Village, Whittingham. Born at North Camp, Aldershot.

T/10702610 Lance Corporal Edward Stanton, Royal Army Service Corps. Died 10th August 1943, aged 20. Son of Frederick and Jane Ellen Stanton, of Whittingham.
