GARSTANG AND THE WAR.
Mr. W. Fitzherbert-Brockholes, J.P., C.A., the hon. treasurer for the Garstang district fund in aid of the Soldiers and Sailors Families Association, has just issued the financial statement for the year ended December last. The income, including a balance of £30 15s. from the previous year, reached £223, of which £42 19s. was raised by the recent patriotic concert at Garstang, and £22 7s. from the Clifton Hill entertainment, and the remainder was derived from private source. During the year £35 4s. had been paid in relief. £150 had been transferred to the central county fund. It is hoped before long to make a further contribution to that fund of £50, which will bring the total sum paid to that source since the war began to £400.
