13879 Private Wilfrid Adamson, 4th Coldstream Guards. Died of wounds on 1st July 1917, aged 24. Son of Thomas and Mary Adamson. of Alston. The stonemason had inscribed William and then had to try to inscribe Wilfrid over it.
