This photograph was given to Fort Massey UC when the school closed. It's of George M. Sylvester, who had been principal at Tower Road School, Halifax, and was killed in action in 1916.
It was unveiled in a memorial service at Tower Road School, on the first anniversary of his death, and hung in the library until the school's closure.
