* indicates a headstone in the churchyard extension.* Joseph Jackson. Drowned from H.M.S. "Emerald" on 31st October 1904, aged 16. There's no indication that he was in the Royal Navy but until I know otherwise I'll include his headstone here.  13862 Serjeant H.E.Cornall, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died 16th November 1916, aged 27. * 680866 Driver John Marsden, Royal Field Artillery. Died 30th June 1917, aged 41.  * 680220 Serjeant Norman Allison, Royal Field Artillery. Killed in action on 11th October 1917, aged 23.
61698 Private Cornelius Seed, Northumberland Fusiliers. Died of wounds, in France, on 14th October 1918, aged 25. * 20063 Private Robert Alstead, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died 11th July 1918, aged 39.
203930 Private V.Catterall, The King's Liverpool Regiment. Died 13th April 1920.
J/83530 Able Seaman C.Clarkson, Royal Navy. H.M.S. "Minotaur". Died 14th June 1920, aged 20. * 202251 Private R.N.Greenall, The Loyal North Lancashire Regiment. Died 2nd June 1921.
Mavis Adams. Killed through enemy action on 27th October 1940, aged 13.
D/SSX. 152009 Able Seaman Edward Bateson, Royal Navy. H.M.S. "Garth". Died 20th November 1941, aged 28.
2359621 Signalman Edward Taylor, Royal Corps of Signals. Died at Ranchi, India, on 20th April 1942, aged 33.
1011881 Sergeant (Air Gunner) Thomas Edward 'Ted' Baxter, Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve. Killed over Trapani on 15th May 1943.
1124374 Private John Metcalf, Pioneer Corps. Died 3rd August 1945, aged 40.
