46121 Private John Robert Gill, 37th Machine Gun Corps (Infantry). Died from wounds received in action on 26th August 1918, aged 31. Son of William Allinson Gill and Mary Ann Gill, of Lancaster; husband of Margaret Alice Gill, of Pilgrim's Rest, Caton. His name isn't on the Caton memorial.
