157772 Gunner James Haycock, 352nd Siege Battery, Royal Garrison Artillery. Killed in action on 12th September 1917, aged 28. Son of Thomas and Martha Haycock, of 15, Grange View, Millhead.
Warton Soldier Killed. It is unofficially reported that Gunner James Haycock (28), second son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Haycock, 15, Grange-view, Warton, was killed in action on Sept. 11th, in France. Previous to enlisting in the R.G.A. in October, he was employed at Warrington. He had only been in France three weeks.
