63901 Private Bryan Ashton Mackereth, 18th Lancashire Fusiliers, formerly (49690) King's Own (Royal Lancaster Regiment). Killed in France on 31st October 1918, aged 19. Son of Henry and Annie Mackereth, of Brookdale, Scotforth. Native of Stodday.
Pte. BRYAN ASHTON MACKERETH (19), K.O., second surviving son of Mr. Henry Mackereth, Waterside Farm, Stodday, is reported killed by a shell in France. He was an old pupil of Scotforth School, and joined up in June, going to France about a month ago.
