This photo was taken on 19th November 2016.14774 Lance Serjeant William Fidler, 12th The King's (Liverpool Regiment). Killed in action on 19th December 1916, aged 25. LEYLAND SOLDIER KILLED IN ACTION.Intimation has been received by Mrs. Fidler, Forge-street, Leyland, of the death in action, on December 19th, of her husband, Sergt.-Major W. Fidler (25), King's Liverpool Regiment. He joined up at the outbreak of hostilities. He was employed by the Leyland and Farington Co-operative Society, and was a worshipper at the Parish Church. Missing, presumed died, on 24th March 1918, aged 21.30116 Private James Emmett Moore, 1st Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry. Died of wounds, in France, on 2nd July 1918, aged 19. Son of William and Agnes Maud Moore, of 30 Herbert Street, Leyland. 26883 Private Tom Morris, 2nd Grenadier Guards. Killed in action on 27th August 1918, aged 19. Son of George and Margaret Morris, of Hill Cottage, Golden Hill Lane, Leyland.
