Presumably built, or at least named, after victory in one of the World Wars. The age of the present building would perhaps suggest that being World War 2 but it could be that there was a previous building dating from after World War 1.
Unlike Pittshill Victory Club there isn't a war memorial here or a roll of honour. Was there originally?
